DeFox Records announce EX new album titled "I NOSTRI FANTASMI " (DeFox records - Andromeda Relix, 2019)

EX is currently promoting and supporting the new album, released by the independent label Andromeda Relix and digitally published in all digital stores by Defox Records.

EX came to life in Verona, Italy, in late 1997, bringing together musicians who had played since 1981 in well-known Italian rock bands such as Spitfire, Exile, X-Hero, Madreterra.

In the beginning the band’s music was the outcome of the musical experiences and tastes of each member; but they all agreed on one point: it had to be hard rock in Italian.

Year after year, stage after stage, song after song, EX achieved its own musical style: a direct and essential sound, slightly influenced by memories of the 70’s.

Many encouraged the band to change this communicative dimension and turn to English, but the use of the mother-tongue is an indelible feature of the band.

The Italian language and heavy riffs are the best means to connect directly with the fans, and not only in Italy, as the band has ascertained during gigs in France. There, EX’s music has been described as “pasta rock”, perhaps with Sergio Leone’s Spaghetti Westerns in mind.

And communication is fundamental, as the band strives to raise its voice against a society turned on its head, staying close to its roots, making no compromises, rejecting every classification, keeping its independence, ready to rise up and react.
